Romanick elected as SCJD presiding judge Friday, February 21, 2020

 

Congratulations to Judge Bruce Romanick who has been elected to serve as the next presiding judge of the South Central Judicial District. His term will begin March 17, 2020 and run through January 31, 2022.

Judge Romanick will replace Judge Gail Hagerty, who is retiring, as presiding judge.

Judge Romanick was first elected District Judge in 2000. A University of North Dakota School of Law graduate, he was an Assistant State's Attorney for Burleigh County from 1995-2000. Previously, he was in private legal practice in Washburn, Bismarck, and Moorhead. He also served as a lawyer in the United States Army from 1989-1992.
