County courthouses closed, opening late due to weather

The courthouses in Benson, Grand Forks, Nelson and Walsh counties will be opening at 10 a.m. today, April 21, due to weather. The Cavalier County courthouse is closed all day and Rolette County will close at 2 p.m..

21 new attorneys admitted to bar

In a ceremony in the Ralph Erickstad Courtroom April 20, 21 new attorneys were admitted to the bar.

Garry A. Pearson 1934-2022

Longtime Grand Forks attorney Garry A. Pearson died Dec. 19. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1958. A celebration of life will be held in Grand Forks on Saturday, May 6.

Lofgren appointed to SCJD judgeship

The Judicial Branch Information Technology department will be upgrading the Odyssey system beginning Friday, April 14 at 6 p.m. The system will be unavailable over the weekend.

Harold P. Bensch 1937-2022

Jamestown attorney Harold P. Bensch died Dec. 8, 2022. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1961. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 15, in Jamestown.

County courthouses closed, opening late due to weather

The courthouses in Benson, Nelson and Traill counties will be closed today, April 6. Grand Forks, LaMoure, Ramsey, Rolette, Stutsman and Walsh will open at 10 a.m., Bottineau at 10:30 a.m., Richland at noon, and Sargent at 12:30 p.m.
