July bar examination begins

The North Dakota Bar Exam began on Tuesday, July 27, with 65 applicants taking the exam. Of the applicants sitting on Tuesday, 60 percent are graduates of the UND School of Law and 79 percent are first-time test takers. The exam ends Wednesday.

Judge Agotness formally takes bench in NEJD

An investiture ceremony for Judge Kari M. Agotness was held July 23 at the Cavalier County courthouse in Langdon. Judge Donovan Foughty presided over the event and Chief Justice Jon Jensen and Leslie Bakken Oliver, general counsel for Governor Doug Burgum, presented remarks.

County clerk offices to close early July 23

On July 23, the Pembina County Clerk of Court office will close at 10:30 a.m., the Rolette County clerk's office will close at 11:30 a.m. and the Cavalier County clerk's office will close at noon for the investiture of Judge Kari Agotness.
