Robin A. Schmidt

Judge Schmidt was appointed as District Court Judge by Governor Jack Dalrymple in 2013 for the Northwest Judicial District judgeship #4 located in Watford City, ND. She was elected in 2016.

Born in1976; Judge Schmidt graduated from Sawyer High School.  She attended the University of North Dakota, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Social work in 1999. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2004, and was admitted to the N.D. State Bar on September 27, 2004. 

Judge Schmidt worked as a law clerk with the North Dakota Supreme Court from 2004-2005. She worked in private legal practice in Fargo, N.D. from  2005-2010. She also worked in private legal practice in Watford City from 2010 until her judgeship in 2013.
