Longtime Stark County State's Attorney Tom Henning died Jan. 22. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1979. A celebration of life will be held April 2 in Dickinson.

Neil A. McEwen 1937-2022

Longtime Thief River Falls attorney Neil A. McEwen died March 12. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1982. A memorial service will be held May 11 in Crosslake, Minn.

Dickey County clerk’s office to close this afternoon

The Dickey County Clerk of Court’s office will be closed today, March 21, from 2:30- 4 p,m.

SCJD issues policy on returning to in-person proceedings

On March 17, South Central Judicial District Presiding Judge Bruce Romanick issued a policy on gradually returning to in-person hearings.

Four apply to fill ECJD judge vacancy

Four people have submitted applications to fill the East Central Judicial District vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Thomas R. Olson. They are: Nicholas W. Chase, Judge Cherie L. Clark, Stephanie R. Hayden and Monty G. Mertz.

Law dean finalists to visit UND

The four finalists for dean of the University of North Dakota School of Law will visit campus March 23-29. They are all scheduled to attend open forums while in Grand Forks.
