8th Circuit decides N.D. case Tuesday, July 20, 2021

The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit has issued an opinion in a North Dakota case. The court held that the district court did not abuse its discretion by denying defendant's motion to withdraw his guilty plea as his sworn statements at the change-of-plea hearing contradicted his later claims that his plea was not knowing and voluntary and that counsel was ineffective.
