February 2019 bar examination results Monday, April 15, 2019

The State Board of Law Examiners have announced the results of the February 2019 bar examination.  On February 26-27, 2019, of the 37 applicants who sat for the bar examination in Bismarck, North Dakota, 18 applicants achieved a passing score.  This is a 49% overall pass rate, compared to 45% a year ago.

Seventeen of the 37 examinees sat for the North Dakota exam for the first time, with 11 passing, which is a 65% pass rate, compared to 83% a year ago.

There were 24 graduates from the University of North Dakota School of Law who sat for this exam, 12 achieved a passing score, which is a 50% overall pass rate, compared to 27% a year ago. Seven of those 24 graduates of the University of North Dakota School of Law sat for the North Dakota bar examination for the first time, with 5 achieving a pass score for a 71% pass rate.

February 2018 the University of North Dakota School of Law had a 100% pass rate, and 60% in February 2017.
