When a juvenile ends up in the criminal justice system, best case scenario is that it's a one-time thing.
In the hope to prevent repeat offenders, the state's juvenile justice system will undergo a six month assessment to improve research-based resources.
Members of the state's judiciary committee will be developing a state plan to include more resources for juveniles.
Concern over rates of youth who re-offend has state leaders bringing in outside firms to improve participation and create new programs.
