Indian Youth Leadership Academy

The North Dakota Indian Youth Leadership Academy was held June 4-8 at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck.

The weeklong academy is an opportunity for Native American high school students to learn leadership skills to take back to their respective communities.

As part of the academy, the students attended oral arguments with the Supreme Court. After the arguments the Court's justices met with the students, answering their questions about the case and explaining how the state's judicial system works.
