Admission to Practice Rules
On May 22, 2012, the State Board of Law Examiners forwarded proposed amendments to the North Dakota Admission to Practice Rules. The proposed amendments were forwarded to the Joint Committee on Attorney Standards for review and recommendation. The Joint Committee on Attorney Standards reviewed the proposal, made further amendments, and returned them on January 21, 2013, with the State Bar Associations Board of Governors support, for submission to the Supreme Court. A Notice of Comment was entered January 28, 2013, and the proposed amendments, as further amended by the Court, were distributed for comment. Any comments were due by February 25, 2013. No comments were received. The proposed amendments are available at http://www.ndcourts.gov/Court/Notices/Notices.htm. Individuals who do not have internet access may contact the Office of the Clerk of the Supreme Court to obtain a copy of the proposal.
ORDERED, that, as further amended by the Court, the amendments to the North Dakota Admission to Practice Rules are ADOPTED effective April 1, 2013.
The Supreme Court of the State of North Dakota convened this 6th of March, 2013, with the Honorable Gerald W. VandeWalle, Chief Justice, and the Honorable Dale V. Sandstrom, the Honorable Mary Muehlen Maring, the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner, and the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers, Justices, directing the Clerk of the Supreme Court to enter the above order.
