Gov. Burgum appoints Agotness to NEJD judgeship

Gov. Doug Burgum has appointed Ramsey County State’s Attorney Kari Agotness to a judgeship in the Northeast Judicial District, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Laurie Fontaine.

Longtime Fargo attorney Robert Lee (Bob) Stroup II, 79, died Jan. 6. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1967.

Bismarck attorney Daniel Harry Oster, 55, died Jan. 11. He was a graduate of the UND School of Law and was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1991. A service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Bismarck on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m.
