U.S. Supreme Court Nov. 4 arguments

Monday, the United States Supreme Court hears arguments in a case on whether a police officer can pull over a vehicle merely because its registered owner has a suspended driver’s license and a case on cancellation of removal of a lawful permanent resident.

Clerk of ND Supreme Court set to retire

KFYR News: "A long serving member of the state Supreme Court is set to retire at the end of the year. Clerk of the Supreme Court Penny Miller has been in her position for nearly 30 years. She's the fourth Supreme Court clerk for the state."

John D. Olsrud 1941-2019

Longtime Legislative Council director John D. Olsrud, 77, died Oct. 30. He was a 1967 graduate of the UND School of Law and one of the first law clerks for the North Dakota Supreme Court. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck.
