Judge Hagerty to retire

South Central Judicial District Presiding Judge Gail Hagerty has announced that she will retire effective March 16, 2020. Judge Hagerty served as a Burleigh County Judge from 1987-1994 and was first elected as a SCJD judge in 1994.

Pro hac vice fee payments due Jan. 1

Under Rule 3, Admission to Practice rules, lawyers who continue to appear in 2020 in a North Dakota proceeding for which they have already filed a motion for pro hac vice admission are required to pay a fee of $380 by January 1, 2020.

Judge Fontaine honored for service as presiding judge in NEJD

On Nov. 24, Northeast Judicial District Presiding Judge Laurie Fontaine was recognized by colleagues and staff for her seven years service as presiding judge. Judge Donovan Foughty will be taking over as NEJD presiding judge Jan. 1, 2020.
