Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has issued an opinion that the City of Dickinson violated the open records laws because it did not provide records within a reasonable time and that the City of Arnegard violated the law by holding committee meetings without providing public notice. -

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has issued an opinion that the City of Mandan did not violate the law by failing to provide requested records because it never received a request and an opinion that the Crystal Lake Township Board of Supervisors violated the law when they held a special meeting but did not post a meeting notice. -

South Central Judicial District Courtroom Criminal Basics training continues
Twenty-eight attorneys attended the second session of the Courthouse Criminal Basics program Oct. 15. Two additional sessions will be held on Oct. 22 and 30 from 4-6 p.m. at the Burleigh County Courthouse. Each session has been approved for two hours of CLE credit. The sessions are free, and no registration is required. -
