Leonard Levine, husband of retired Supreme Court Justice Beryl Levine, died Sept. 2. He practiced medicine for 59 years, the majority of which were in Fargo. -
John Doerr 1933-2020
Longtime attorney John Doerr, 87, died Aug. 22. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the North Dakota bar in 1958. Funeral services will be held Aug. 28 in Twin Falls, Idaho. -

Minot attorney Thomas J. Gunderson, 78, died July 22. He was a University of North Dakota School of Law graduate and was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1972. His funeral is scheduled in New Town at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29. -

Longtime Bismarck attorney Lyle W. Kirmis, 70, of Plymouth, Minn., died June 28. A University of Minnesota law graduate, he was admitted to the North Dakota bar in 1974. A Celebration of Life in Bismarck is being planned. -

Former South Central Judicial District Judge Larry Hatch died Nov. 4. He was a 1958 graduate of the UND School of Law and served as a district judge from 1972-1991. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Nativity Catholic Church in Fargo. -

Longtime Legislative Council director John D. Olsrud, 77, died Oct. 30. He was a 1967 graduate of the UND School of Law and one of the first law clerks for the North Dakota Supreme Court. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck. -

Attorney Aloys "Al" Wartner III of Harvey, ND and Scottsdale/Mesa, AZ died Oct. 5. He graduated from the UND School of Law in 1970 and began his law practice in Harvey. -

Judge Jerome 'Jerry' G. Arnold died June 6. A UND School of Law graduate, he served from 1986-1991 as U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota. For the last 25 years he worked in Duluth as a Workers' Compensation Judge. -

Longtime Grand Forks attorney Patrick Morley died June 5. He was 68. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the bar in 1976. A celebration of life will take place Sunday, June 23 at 2 p.m. at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks. -
Donald R. Holloway 1936-2019
Donald R. Holloway, 82, died June 2. After earning a law degree at the UND School of Law, he was North Dakota Securities Commissioner from 1968 to 1976, practiced law in Bismarck from 1976 to 1990, and was an Administrative Law Judge until 2007. His funeral is at 10 a.m. on June 6 at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo. -
Jacque G. Stockman 1923-2019
Jacque G. Stockman, 95, died on May 26. A 1950 UND School of Law graduate, he established a law practice, farmed north of Fargo, served in the North Dakota House of Representatives and was a Fargo City Commissioner. A private memorial event will be held at a later date.
