Longtime Bismarck attorney William "Bill" P. Pearce died Sept. 13. A Northwestern University law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1971. His funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck.

Bismarck attorney Paul C. Germolus died July 26. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1997. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 30, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck.

John T. Traynor 1926-2021

Longtime Devils Lake attorney John T. Traynor died July 11. He graduated from the UND School of Law and was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1951. His funeral will be Monday, July 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Devils Lake.

R. Lee Hamilton 1940-2021

Longtime Grand Forks attorney R. Lee Hamilton died July 4. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1964.

Raymond Hagen 1927-2021

Longtime Beulah attorney Raymond Hagen died July 3. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1957. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, in Beulah.

Richard H. McGee II 1950-2021

Longtime Minot attorney Richard H. McGee II died June 30. He was a graduate of the UND School of Law and was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1977. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7, in Minot.

Susan Lein 1948-2021

UND School of Law graduate Susan Lein died June 27. She earned her law degree in 1983 and then practiced law in Hayward, Wisc. Her funeral will be held Thursday, July 1.

Dwight Sidney Cuffe 1943-2021

Former West Fargo attorney and municipal court judge Dwight Cuffe died June 18. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the North Dakota bar in 1971.

Robert G. Ackre 1967-2021

Cando and Minot attorney Robert G. Ackre died June 9. He was a graduate of the UND School of Law and was admitted to the North Dakota bar in 1992. Funeral services will be held June 26 at Cando Lutheran Church.

Thomas H. Carey 1937-2021

UND law graduate Thomas H. Carey died April 15. A native of Minneapolis, he was in civil practice from 1964-1986 and was then appointed a Minnesota district judge, serving until 2000.

Arnold Fleck 1958-2021

Bismarck attorney Arnold “Arnie” Fleck, 63, died April 1. He was a UND School of Law graduate and was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1983. Funeral services will be held April 7 at Legacy Methodist Church in Bismarck.

Kermit Bye 1937-2021

Former U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Kermit Bye died March 20. A 1962 graduate of the UND School of Law, he was confirmed to the 8th Circuit bench in 2000. Memorial services will be held March 27 at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo.

Dorothy Adam 1940-2021

Longtime Cavalier County Clerk of Court Dorothy Adam died March 22. She started working for Cavalier County in 1972 and served as Clerk of Court for more than 20 years. Funeral services will be held March 27 at United Lutheran Church in Langdon.

Harlan M. Dyrud 1936-2021

Longtime Grand Forks judicial referee Harlan M. Dyrud died March 2. A graduate of the Hamline School of Law, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1979. Funeral services will be held March 9 in Grand Forks.

Henry G. Tweten 1923-2021

Longtime East Grand Forks attorney Henry G. Tweten, 97, died Jan. 31. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he earned his degree in 1951. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Robert L. Stroup II 1941-2021

Longtime Fargo attorney Robert Lee (Bob) Stroup II, 79, died Jan. 6. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1967.

Daniel H. Oster 1965-2021

Bismarck attorney Daniel Harry Oster, 55, died Jan. 11. He was a graduate of the UND School of Law and was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1991. A service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Bismarck on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m.

Myron E. Bothun 1931-2021

Longtime attorney Myron E. 'Mike' Bothun died Jan. 5. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1957. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bismarck.

David A. LeMieux 1931 - 2020

Longtime attorney David A. LeMieux died Dec. 24, 2020. He grew up in Stanley, graduated from the UND School of Law, and was admitted to the North Dakota bar in 1958. A family mass is planned, and a public celebration is pending.

Gary Annear 1933-2020

Longtime Assistant United States Attorney Gary Annear died Dec. 9. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1960. A family memorial service will be held on Monday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m., and will be livestreamed.

Walfrid B. Hankla 1930-2020

Longtime Minot attorney Walfrid B. "Wally" Hankla died Dec. 9. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1958. The family will have a private service on Monday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m., which will be livestreamed.

Robert Alderman 1928-2020

UND School of Law graduate Robert “Bob” LeRoy Alderman died Nov. 16. A native of Casselton, he was admitted to the North Dakota bar in 1953 and spent most of his adult life in Spencer, Iowa.
