Retired District Judge Wallace D. Berning died June 26. A University of Missouri-Kansas City law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1964. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. -
Justice Beryl Levine 1935-2022
Retired Supreme Court Justice Beryl Levine died June 4. A graduate of the UND School of Law, she was the first female Justice on the North Dakota Supreme Court. She was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1985 and retired in 1996. -
Gregory B. Stites 1951-2022
Bismarck attorney Gregory B. Stites died May 25. A graduate of the UND School of Law, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1977. A celebration of life will be held in the summer. -
Judge Michael McGuire 1941-2022
Retired East Central Judicial District Judge Michael McGuire died April 28. A UND School of Law graduate, he was admitted to the N.D. bar in 1972. Sharing of memories will take place May 11 in Fargo. -
